Two Tunnels Greenway Route Walk (26 Mar 2011)

Saturday 26 March 2011 saw a group of over 60 people walking the route of the Two Tunnels Greenway, from Lower Bristol Road, Bath to Midford, four miles away. The tunnels are not open yet and so the walk went over them, emphasising the difference they will make once open! The purpose of the day was to celebrate the completion of the bulk of the tarmac work on the route's Bath side. The current planned completion date for the whole route is October 2011. Walkers and cyclists will have an almost flat route from central Bath through two underground railway tunnels to Midford on the south side of Bath. Here the route will connect with the rest of route NCN24 to Radstock and Frome.
